WorldSkills International (WSI) is a not for profit association which operates worldwide and is politically and denominationally neutral. The mission of WSI is to promote, through the cooperative actions of its members, a worldwide awareness of the essential contribution that skills and high standards of competence make to the achievement of economic success and individual fulfillment. WSI is open to agencies or bodies which have a responsibility for promoting vocational education and training in their respective countries/regions. The current number of members is 52. The main activity of WSI is the WorldSkills Competition (WSC), the biggest skills competition in the world. It is a biennal international skills event where young professionals from all WSI member countries compete during four days for the world championship in over 45 skills categories.
